I actually thought it was fairly well done......Showed aspects of both sides with decent objectivity.....I like to think that the older gentleman at the end hunting elk kind of represents the majority of our hunters (I did disagree w/ his comments on trophy hunting however)....I thought he was a class act.....What did you think? I definately thought more mention should have been made of the role of sport hunting in conservation and that one whacko that turned from hunter to anti-hunter after watching a pigeon shoot....What the heck does a pigeon shoot have to do with hunting??

Personally it was ok but I think the terms " sport hunting" and " trophy hunting" are not terms that are favorable to the hunting world. I think they are used to demean hunters.
I stopped warching when that bald headed former hunter showed his video and made his presentation. I do agree that the ethics of the organization that allowed the pigeon hunt for kids VERY POOR. It is the ammunition that every anti-hunter seeks in their cause against hunting . . . and these occasions are not only inhumane and cruel, every hunter in the land should shun any group who allows such programs; they' re despicable and as much anti-hunting as ALF and ELF.
The show approached Fair and Balanced but didn' t quile rise to that level.

I cought it just as that whacko was coming on with his pigeon hunt. At that point I wanted to boycot National Geographic. How can anyone with any form of brains in their head group that dispicable display of cruelty with hunting is beyond me. I would have really liked to see that goose hunter reach up and grab his dumb a$$ by the feet and yank him to he ground. Thankfully they had a hunter on after that although he missed the elk. I really hope that it comes on again so I can see the whole show.
What really gets me is that guys like that whacko are so against hunting but they don' t mind going to the grocery store and buying cut up captive animals that someone else had to kill. Bottom line is that we are all hunters, its just that some of us prefer to harvest animals ourselvs and respect the animals that we take to feed us instead of paying a hitman to do it for us.

I didn' t see anything good in it. The pigeon killing was supposed to be hunting. The poor turkeys being killed at the turkey shoot was portrayed as hunting. Even the elk hunter at the end had negative comments about hunting for any reason other than meat and also had negative comments about using scopes, which is more fuel for the anti' s. To hell with national geographic.
