Ted Nugent?
 

Does anyone else think ole Ted has suffered some type of brain damage? I' ve seen him at outdoor shows and on the Outdoor Channel where he has a show. Now there are those who will say he has done a lot for gun rights, hunting, and bowhunting and for that I say thank you. But for the Spirit and essence, and the beast is dead, long live the beast and all the other freaky things he spouts, enough is enough.

Sorry for the rant. I know he promotes bowhunting, but Hello, Ted cut back on the stimulants.[X(]

Ted is not politically corect and his choice of words may not be to your liking but ted has ALWAYS been drug and alcohol free.

I HATE HIS MUSIC but I love his ' Spirit of the Wild' attitude and theme. Most of all I' m certain that his every word makes the fur on the bunny huggers quiver.

From some of his shots and his statements though, I' m not sure he knows where the heart of deer and elk are located he has stated in some shows that lung shots " hit him in the heart" and that is my only possible criticism.

Fight on Teddy!!! Ted Nugent has done so much for our rights as outdoorsmen and women. In fact I think the NRA made a mistake when they didn' t choose him as the next president but don' t get me wrong I still think they made a good choice. As for they way he expresses himself, well think how the indians speak and talk about the animals that are so much of their religion and culture. Ted is speaking about the animals in the same way a Cherokee Chief or a medicine man would have way back when. They are celebrating the life of the animal and at the same time giving thanks that it died to provide for him and his family. There is not one person I would want on my side more than Ted Nugent fight ting for my rights against the evil " Tree Hugging Hippies" and " Gun Grabbing Liberals" . Long Live The NUGE!!!!!

i' m a fan of ted' s music , i think it' s a matter of he' s VERY passionate about his hunting so the words he somtimes chooses make him come across as a wack job , but as far as i know , ted doesn' t touch drugs or booze !! so it' s all from the heart![8D] ,and we should be glad we have someone like him on our side !!!!!

I agree with most of what he says and he is as good as they come confronting the antis, but he' s too weird for me. I just don' t watch his show. [X(]

Sure, Ted' s got some phrases that are a little over the edge, but that is why people pay attention to him. Some 16 year old kid in the inner city isn' t going to give him 2 seconds of their time, unless he grabs them with a statement that makes them think. His fame gets them to listen and his vocabulary holds their attention. Then, and only then, does one have a chance of gaining an interest and becoming a hunter or supporter of hunters.

He' s a little weird on purpose, because it works. Go Ted!

Very well said straightarrow!! I agree 100%. If you ever watch Ted on Fox news or etc, he is very intellegent and articulate. However, when he is on his show he is trying to attract people to the sport. The more crazy he acts, the more attention he brings to hunting. It' s really a very clever marketing approach.

Anyone that knows me knows I have a deep appreciation for the art of going over the top. If you have a position to take, might as well take it in a way that makes the opposition froth at the mouth. Folks who have adversarial outlooks are stupid and deserve a little mental anguish anyway, right? :D

Love him or hate him Ted is one of a hand full of people that are as outspoken about our hunting and gun rights as we ALL should be, myself included! Yes OK maybe he is some what over the top and God knows he is not PC but that is fine with me. Rock on Ted and The Spirit of the Wild!

Ted might be over the top on some issues, and he might be a little strange at times. However, in comparison with the " huggy" people who are over the top all the time, and stranger than strange can be clearly defined, Ted is an alter boy.

Uncle Teddy is awesome , good pepole . His spirit of the wild show is on the outdour network . I dont have direct tv but wish i did just to watch Uncle Teddy . He tells it like it is , some pepole dont like it , but thats how it is . The guy can play a statocaster better than just about anyone.

Ted is definitely what I would call eccentric. He lays it on very thick and probably not the type of guy I' d hang out with. At least not while hunting, I' ve have to slip a muscle relaxer or two in his coffee in the morning. But I don' t think he sheds hunting in any sort of negative light. In fact I think he does more than most to put it in a positive light. ROCK ON TED!!!

I' ve met Ted Twice the last time I had My 6 year old little girl with me. She got the biggest kick out of him. He has a real way with kids. I look foward to the next time I can meet him. I' d love to go on a hunt with him.
His passion for the outdoors is unmatched and unwavering. I' ll always suppourt Ted and always be a fan. Jim

Nearly all of my non-hunting friends see him and think he is a wacko[:o] That' s the very people that we need to make a good impression on. Im glad he is on our side, but that don' t mean i want him out there projcting himself to the fence sitters. They come away with the exact opposite impressions of what WE NEED[:o][:o]

In an age of general apathy I think Ted Nugent is like a breath of fresh air. His gonzo attitude and passion for hunting are more than apparent, but I think that is a good thing. If more people could get their true feelings out in public instead of acting submissive all the time maybe we wouldn' t have to worry about losing the right to own firearms or the right to hunt. I like Ted' s honest expression of how he sees things, and I hope he can keep on reminding folks what freedom of speech and freedom of thought is all about.

I like Ted also.. I think he should also be up for grabs for the NRA.. you know you can really tell he loves the sport.. You know how some people that have their own show " act happy or put on a happy face" he may do it a little with some of his phrases... but you can tell by his smile and mannerisms that he TRULY LOVES the sport while some are doing it for a paycheck.. and if you have watched his show you can tell that he really loves is family by the way he treats them..I' ve heard that hes one of the nicest people you will ever meet..

I agree with all of the above comment' s. Uncle Ted is a Little weird in his way' s but he will go to bat for our hunting right' s at the drop of a hat, so with that said all I can say is ROCK ON UNCLE TED >-------:D------>

Hey, I like Ted. I' ve been listening to his music since the early seventies, saw him in concert many times. I use to play in a rock band for several years and did alot of Ted Nugent cover tunes. To stay clean in the business he is in, should say something about sanity.

I think some of it is show for the camera, but his message is direct, strong, and passionate. Keep up the good work Ted.

I agree with everything Nugent says, I think he is THE most helpful guy thats protecting our hunting and gun rights. For anyone that thinks hes on something, think again....100% drug free! And for his music, its awesome!

A fence sitter is nothing more than a self-described moderate! A person who can' t decide whether to piss or get off the pot without taking a poll to find out what the majority of other peole are doing first!
Charlton Heston never worried about the fence sitters when he said " From my cold dead hands!"
Just because you don' t agree with his style is no reason to think he shouldn' t be out on the front lines!
If a so called fence sitter gets nervous or upset from hearing a guy like Uncle Ted speak then why would you want them in the woods anyway!

I like him.... but I have to agree he' s a bit too much sometimes. You don' t have to act like a freaked out flower child to make a point or get your message out. I agree, lay off the stimulants every other day.

He isn' t a horrible voice but he probably isn' t the best voice for hunting but he does get things stirred up a bit and gets people talking.

He is a bit too reckless. I have heard him call in to a few radio shows and he showers bullets with automatic weapons and so forth. Not responsible usage in my book. The shock value is a bit over the top

I do not care for the guy. I liked his music but his arrogance and attitude is not well liked by the non hunting public. " Wackem and Stackem" is not a good slogan to have when you are trying to maintain peace with the non-hunting public. I guess he means well but I could do without all his noise.

you can complain about Ted all you want but Iv' e allways heard that actions speak louder than words. How many of you critics give as much of your time as he does. Ted does his camp for kids takes under privaliged kids and teaches them about the outdoors at his own time and exspence plus who else do you know who would sacrifice as much of their career for what they believe in' not many I' ll bet

I agree with buckshot. I beleive Iam correct in saying that Ted is the only non-peace officer who has carried a 9MM into a senate hearing. I belive that when they tried to take it away from him that he quoted the constitution about gun laws and there was nothing they could do. :D

Wow, I knew this would be a hot topic. Now I don' t doubt that Ted has done some good along the way. I watched him at an outdoor show a few years back promoting his book. I didn' t buy it but noticed two types of Nugent people, one group that thought he was great, and one group that thought he was on something. A little decaf would help on how some people perceive him.;) I' d also have to agree with the guy that said, If I had his bank roll I would do as much or more as he has.

I' ve also never listened to his music (I listen to Country) but assume he is good at what he does.

Thanks for all the responses. Even though folks here have differant opinions, I' m impressed that there hasn' t been any name calling. Thats whats great about most bowhunters.

Have met Nugent 2wice & dug his music since the 70' s & agree that he has a sometimes repetitious & strange sense of humor..Think that is the key tho,,sense of humor,,th man has FUN & totally digs Life(& Death,,which is Life),,just like me..Have video of Ted & my son from the 2nd meeting & it is Pure D Treasure for us,,Ted treated my boy as nice as any human being ever has..Is he good for our Passion for ALL things WILD,,how could anybody with his passion for OUR LIFEstyle not be??I' d go huntin with him anyday,,only thing I' d say different is " Long Live Th Beast,,Now Let' s Eat & So We Can Go Back Huntin" ..[8D]Ted is Just Ted...OK in my book..
