Ok spot and stalk from a truck to me means driving around with bino's/spotting scope finding something you'd like to harvest getting out gearing up and walking to the game (obviously its different with a rifle as you probablly wouldn't have to walk as far to get a shot but I digress).

Now to me road hunting is driving around with the intentions of just stopping and shooting walking up grabbing it throwing it in the back and leaving. That's what my mental image of it is, however is there really a difference? Like its kind of shades of gray there. Its hard for me to find an effective way to describe it to you guys I guess. Like spot and stalk like I said requires a lot more effort then how I described road hunting but neither compare to the leg work we're looking at with traditional bowhunting type setups I.e. Sitting in a stand or blind hunting them.

I probabbly just made this stuff way way way more confusing but I tried.

Ryan.
Sounds to me like you knwo the difference. The guys from PA were just stating how according to certain regs it is illegal to do either form of that with a vehicle in PA. Sitting in a blind or a stand can be sparked by a vehicles use. Take example you are out checkin trail cams or whatever on a 4 wheeler and you see a big buck chasing a doe not very far away and heads into a thicket you know of. You were not even planning on hunting there that day but you rush home grab your stuff and climb in the nearest stand to it. An hour later that buck comes by and you shoot him. The only reason you got him was because you were out riding your 4 wheeler around looking for deer sign or whatever and saw him. I don't know how many times I've been on my way to deer or turkey hunt and saw them in places I never would have gone that day but do because thats where the game wants to be at that time. According to certain PA regs that would be illegal I guess but only as an interpretation of the law and not exactly how it reads. WCL
