Very strange!
Yesterday evening I killed (lung shot) a nice doe 17yrds from my stand. I go back in this afternoon to try to kill a buck and when I get up in my stand I notice a brand new scrape that wasn't there yesterday. It was located EXACTLY where that doe was standing when I shot her yesterday evening! I couldn't believe it. I thought this was either a very strange coincidence or it was done very intentionally? Is it possible my shooting that doe triggered a release of some kind of odor that could have attracted a buck, hence the scrape?

A buck scrape is teritorial, and i really dont think that a buck would even scrape if the doe was in estorious.."does that make scence" Deffinatly shooting a doe doesnt have anything to do with the buck makeing the scrape, i think that is coinsadenle but i would arrow that buck soon..!! Good luck and thanks for sharing..
Oh and Congrats on the Doe kill!!

Early in -
I'd say there is something to your story - the same happened to me this past weekend. I shot a doe on Friday Afternoon - The shot felt good, but I watched her on her feet for 20 minutes (basically standing in 1 spot) before she slowly went into the brush. I decided to wait till morning, to look - Found here in 5 minutes Saturday Morning - Nothing too spectacular - but I was glad and releived.
But..... to get to your point.....
Sunday afternoon I hunted the same stand - and I had 4 new scrapes on the roadway food plot where I shot her and dragged her out to load on to a 4 wheeler the previous morning. Ones scrape was literally on the spot where I drained the doe's body cavity of blood before loading on the ATV.
I don't think it was all a coincidence. She was a mature doe - and I think the bucks were reacting to her scent.
