RE: What won't you shoot this season?
Glad to see many that atleast have some goals,..... however, I wish more folks would list immature bucks (2 1/2 years oldand younger on their list of "NO-shoot" animals? [&:] It's gotta start somewhere folks. Nothing more rewarding that settinga goal and then realizing it, but goals are never supposed to be easy. Good luck to all of ya this season, regardless of what your shoppin' for out there.

Since I mainly go after bears...and hogs.
No sows with cubs
No cubs, or young teen bears
No bears under 150# aprox of course, male or female
I will kill any hog I see

No fawns...
No basket racks...
Preferably I will fill my antlerless tag with a good Doe, and then a +3 1/2 year or older buck.
But I could be swayed if a bigger 2 1/2 year old pokes his heart in front of my arrow..

I will not participate in the Michigan philosophy..
" If it's brown it's down."
I will practice what I believe to be sound QDM practices. Shoot does, and 1 mature Michigan buck only..
When I go to Northern MO this year.. I will be holding out for a 140" or better
I can't go elk hunting this year. I will be going home in 2010 for elk. anyone wanna go

I dont see how its anyones place to tell ,or even suggest what is appropriate for anyone else to shoot, as long as its legal. We hunters are not all at the same place in our hunting careers and a small buck or a doe is a mega trophy to some so why begrudge an upandcomer that joy? I also dont buy the coolaid that if we all holdout for more mature deer, well someday have monsters behind every tree Even if it did, why should all hunters pass on a deer they might be tickled w/ just because a few elitist want to shoot 150"s every year?
