How high do you guys and gals usually climb or hang a loc on? I usually like to be between 20-25ft. High enough to stay out of the line of sight and not too high that I' m scared to death sitting there.

My buddy and I have alot of fixed lock on stands ( 18 or 19 between us plus we each have a climber). we have them at different heights, depending on the situation. We usually try and stay between 20-25 ft, but some places we have to go lower. As a matter of fact, I shot my biggest buck from a stand that we hunt every year that is a the corner of the woods, and the shots are usually out in the open field. That stand is only about 13 ft. up because of the canopy. we have had lots of deer around us there and have never been busted. So basically all different heights. We are both scent control freaks, plus on top of that we both use Scentblocker suits so we are pretty confident there. Sometimes the situation dictates the height.

I never go higher than 20 feet ( I hate heights) and most of the time I' m more like 15 ft. My opinion is take advantage of your camo and the canopy. Hide in them and breakup your outline, that' s what works. Scent control is also important, but I have not used the Scentblocker suits, yet. I usually hunt in or near the piney woods so I break few green pine branches and I have an instant cover scent. It works, even in the hot, humid and balmy early Georgia fall!!!

I generally go about 15 feet on average. I don' t like to go too high because of steep angle on in close shots. One thing that I think is of even more importance of height is cover.
