There is no relationship. Kevin who designs for Elite now was one that helped design many of the best Bowtechs ever made.

Many Bowtech guys now shoot Elite because of Kevin and his great designs on bows.

Peter Crawford now owns Elite and this manufactuer is on the move.

Both are good bows.

Awesome forum, gr8 bunch of guys. Daniel Boone said it. Kevin Strothers knows how to get extreme speed, a smooth draw cycle, and a very quiet bow, out of a generous brace height. Both companies put out gr8 bows. If you like Bowtech than you will like Elite, and vice versa. Elites are just a little better imo as they use Barnsdale limbs, and are easier to get good $$ out of at trade time due to high demand and low supply.

I also want to add though, the EAF IS a great forum-lots of good, helpful, knowledgeable folks! I enjoy the place for sure !

Just don't mention Archery Talk, or any other binary cam design besides Elite and you will be fine

Elite started in 2006. Their speed bow was the E-500( I just traded one for my new GT500 NVG predator bow) and their very similar in speed bow was the E-Force.( I have one) the E-500 was basically a souped up corvette version of the 06 Bowtech Allegiance and the E-Force was a souped up version of the 06 ,Bowtech Tribute. Kevin designed all of the above 4 bows, left Bowtech after designing their 06 lineup. The 06 Elites had barnsdale limbs, better grips, and were a faster bow than the Bowtechs. Here are my 06's so you can see the similarity of the bows with the Bowtechs.

Top one is the E-500 and bottom one is the more parallel limb E-Force. I prefer the E-Force over the E-500; hence trading it for my new GT500. I owned a new 06 Tribute and sold it this winter. I never liked the grip on the bow. The Elite E-Force is a WAY better bow imo than my 06 Tribute was. I love the E-Force. Faster too.

What that means at Elite websight your going to find some very devoted guys and for good reasons. Elite just changed hands. Peter Crawford formerly from G5 purchased this manufactuer. He will take this bow to new heights. Sales have already done better than they can keep up with production. If you ever get a chance to shoot an Elite, I highly recommend it. Just see what everone is finding out about Elite.
