Regarding that Mathews grip, if you don't like how the stock grip feels don't buy it. I have spent a lot of money on smaller grips for that bow and never got what I wanted. The grip will never feel like a Diamond, BowTech, Rossor Hoyt. I think you picked a winner with the Alphamax but don't expect it to be much faster than your old Black Ice.

I may go shoot a Drenalin again but I too hate the Mathews handles....

I have never shot a Hoyt anything... Whats the Hoyt cost ? Is is a smoother draw than a Drenalin ? I think one of the Mods on here mentioned a Ross to me a while back a Cardiac or something ?? Supposed to be REAL smooth draw.

If you are looking for a Nice hunting bow that has a Super Smooth draw then you really owe it to yourself to go shoot a Ross Carnivore

Who here has shot a Black Ice and an Iceman side by side ? Which is smoother ? I may also try the Ross....just never had a Ross... know nothing about them....and not a big fan of dual cams...

IMHO the Black Ice has a smoother draw, but the Iceman is smoother on release.
