I would just stay with the gold tips. Why change when what you have is doing the job?

I realize what I have has worked well. But anyone here who knows me or my habits knows I'm a compulsive tinkerer at heart. It helps pass the time by until hunting season comes back in. I just wanted to investigate something new this year. I'm about out of a 3 year old dozen GT XT's and figured what better time than now to experiment a little.

I bought some Carbon Express Maxima Hunter Arrows last year, and these are by far the best arrows I have ever shot.

Another Aramid KV fan, although I also liked the Easton FMJs. Great weight and flight on both.

I switched to the Beeman ICS this year and will continue to use them. I would recommend trying them out.
You could have saved some $$$$, and got these http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat21424-cat20061_TGP&rid=&indexId=cat20061&nav Action=push&masterpathid=&navCount=1&p arentType=index&parentId=cat20061&id=00045 37

They are about the same spec's as the ICS Hunter Elites, at a much more reasonable price, MADE IN USA, and durable and consistent as I've shot, including GT's, CX Term Lite's, Carbon Force Radial Weaves ($100/dz arrow 4yrs ago). The Cabela's "Hunter" carbon arrows leave a little to be desired, better now than they used to be, but the Carbon EXtreme Stalkers from Cabela's are the BEST I've used, and they're made by the Easton/Beman Company.
