Now I know this question has probably been asked a lot lately, but I’m trying to figure out a new arrow set up for the '05 season. I'm currently using the Carbon Express 300 Selects. Here is the lay out:
70#
125 Grim Reapper BH
28 1/2" Length
That’s everything but the shaft, and wings. I was just wondering what you guys might think are some good choices for nothing bigger then deer sized game. Distance wise, I wouldn't go past 40, but even 35 is push'n it. And as far as speed and KE are concerned, I’d rather have a harder hit then a fast arrow. But if you could please suggest what you think might be a good choice, it would be greatly appreciated. If you need any further info to help, just let me know. Thanks again

Gold Tip Pro Hunters either 55/75's or 75/95's.
Gold Tip XT Hunters either 55/75's or 75/95's.
Gold Tip Entrada 400's (target, 3-d, and hunting grade arrow)
As you can tell I'm a firm believer in the GT line. I've shot em all from Eastons to Blackhawks, PSE's to Cabela's/Gander Mountain's line. By far the GT line is the toughest and straightest and most balanced arrows on the market. Look around it's almost a proven fact here on the forum. There' aren't many that would disagree. Hope this helped.

I would go with Gold Tip XT Hunters, either the 5575's or 7595's. The 7595's would give you more weight if you need it, as well as more spine. I switched from the Carbon Express line and really like the Gold Tips.

I love the Easton ACC's ---- I shoot 73lb draw, 28" arrows and the ACC 3-60/340 (medium weight) and have never had a problem. With a Eastman Outfitter's EXP 100 mech cut on impact head, it smoked clean through a 300lb buck quartering away with no problem. I've gotten clean pass-throughs on every deer I've shot with this set-up.
