Default Late season rattling

I want to know if I should do some rattling? The rut is over and it has been very cold with about 12 inches of snow. Should I rattle or just sit. If so do I get load with them or soft. I'm in an area where a lot of does travel. It may sound like stubid question but I'm a muley hunter haven't done a lot of hunting of whitetail.

Well I have pics of bucks last weekend on the game cam sparring for over two minutes. Also caught him rubbing a tree. That is here in NW Mo. Wouldn't hurt to try. Just try not to be too aggressive with them. 20 sec sessions should be good enough every half hour.

Thanks for the advise. My son owns a peice of land which he took a nice buck about 1 month ago. Went to check his land snf ther are very heavy trails through there now with all the snow we have. I just can't get it done for mules this year the snow is to noisy right now and they no you are there at all times. So I thought I'd give a tree stand a try.

2 weeks ago I rattled in a nice buck and I didn't do it aggressive...and just rattled for a few seconds each time I did a rattle sequence, which was twice... bucks are wore out, weather is puttin stress on them and aggressive late season seemed like a bad idea 2 me 2 rattle aggressive. I basically wanted a buck to think that there was a hot late doe and 2 little bucks fighting over her. It worked 4 me

The middle of Dec is a good time to rattle, but as others said. do it lightly.

Wednesday evening I witnessed 3 bucks taking turns jousting with each other for 10 minutes, very cool stuff! Slight north wind made everything quiet. They were a hundred yards or more away and still very easy to hear along with see.

I've been rattling all fall since October 15th, I've rattled one buck In. My year so far sucks with rattling. Any time of the year works for rattling, you just need everything to be right for It to work. Rattle away, you aren't going to know If you don't try.
