Deer fat is NASTY tasting .....Cow or pork fat isn't ....... I trim all the fat off of my deer .... and yes, it makes a difference if its frozen with it on IMO ..... but to each his own

Ive eatten so much deer meat in the last few weeks im starting to grow antlers....but that, that looks delicious!

I'm with Tony,I trim mine very clean.Deer fat is very nasty.If your going to make jerky you want to strip it very well.

Tasting, infers eating, Jeff .... deer fat TASTES nasty ......pork or beef fat TASTES yummy ....eg. bacon

Heck I learned a long time ago to peel that wrapper off of a slim jim before I eat that, too.[8D]

I trim off all the fat as well, always have.
