This is a pretty decent 2 1/2. Taken in the early '90's grossed 126.

Most of the bucks I see in northern Wis are under achievers. Like the 10 pointer I took this rifle season. I'm pretty sure he's 4 1/2 and only scored 127 gross. Most of the 3 1/2's won't make 115"[:'(][:@]. Most of the 1 1/2's are 4 to 4 1/2" spikes.

Most people seem to think this is a 2 1/2. If he is, he is a super one.

There are a handful I have seen and just wished they could grow to their full potential just to see how big they would get. This one is 3.5, a typical 10 with giant forked brows on both sides. I saw him repeatedly in the summer, and also the previous year as a 2.5 that would gross about 135. Never before or since have I patterned a buck so well, but he dissapeared that fall never to be seen again[]

Yea, I would never be talking about him if I thought he might be still alive. I knew his tracks and one week they were in the area, the next week gone and I never saw them again. I wont say the 'p' word but he certainly disappeared. He was world class. What I would have given to see him at 5 or 6

SUPER 2.5yo:

You are kidding right. That buck has a big swaying back and pot belly. He's at least a 3.5 but looks more like 4.5 or 5.5 to me. All bucks look smaller in the summer time.
