Between baseball andfootball in high school and baseball on through college I cherished everymoment I got to hunt. I never losta girlfriend to the outdoors but after watching a few of my friends go through it I decided my wife would be on board or we would not make it to that stage. I got lucy and married a women with hobbies as well. She loves when I don't hunt but also loves when I do go so she does her on thing with her mom and sisters...and now our 5 month old baby girl. I am a happy man.

I have learned over the years that my hunting does NOT come first. My parents were divorced after 27 years of marriage because both of them were very stubborn and would not relent to reconcile and share their passions. I WILL NOT have that happen to my wife and family. Their divorce ripped over family to shreds and has still caused much chaos. I do what it takes (although sometimes I am lacking) to support my family so I can take off to hunt without stress. Like today, I cleaned a mess around the house, and will continue to do so over the next week so that I can hunt a couple of times next week. I support my wife in her endeavors to the fullest, and she does mine.

Ummmmm....My wife is moving out today! We came to an agreement that we are best friends but not lovers and or soulmates so we are moving on and both parties are sad but happy. It hurts the kids the most.[:@]
you both need to seek counciling from someone other than yourselves, Tim ..... ESPECIALLY when there are kids involved!!! You have NO IDEA what you are putting your kids thru ....[]

try to not be selfish ...live for those kids...they are WAY more important than ANY deer!!!
I understand what your saying Tony, I really do! It's not exactly healthy though when the kids see there parents arguing and bickering all the time. That can have a negative effect as well on kids. Believe me I would much rather see parents stick together and work It out rather then go there separate ways. My parents got divorced, I was 22 years old and It about killed me! My g/f and I are having our troubles as well and we have ourselves a little girl together. If It wasn't for having our daughter together I bet we wouldn't be together. It's all about the hunting part also that's causing Issue's here. A person can give and give and give and after a while one wonders If It's even worth giving anymore when your the only one doing It. Not everything In life Is a match I guess. I'm not giving up but I'm getting tired of giving and not receiving.
Steve ..... I believe the man has the majority of the responsibility for harmony in the home .... the reason....we are not as emotional as our ladies are ..... or at least we shouldn't be. We need to make our ladies feel secure ... too much to get into in this thread ..... I am willing to help anyone with their relationships ..al they need to do is PM me .........

VS ....AMEN! You got it .... so does GMATT ......
