How to get a deer home
#11
Cut off the legs, tarp it and put it in the trunk OR quarter it ( better yet, debone it if legal) and put it in coolers….
One thing I’m always concerned with is how I portray myself as a hunter to the non-hunting public. Yeah, I know – if you want to strap deer on the back trunk with deer blood running down the side, then that’s your right. Just remember the old 10/10/80 (or whatever it is now) 10 percent hunters, 10 antis (or agaisnt hunting)and 80 percent open/undecided. As laws and such are voted on in the future, it’s that 80 percent of undecided that will make the difference on keeping our hunting privileges intact.
No pun at Gregs story, by I remember my uncle who is a farmer and occasional hunter tell a story of sitting inside a Burger King eating with his family and a SUV pulls up going through drive through with blood running down it’s windows and deer strapped to the top. Simply put he said it was disgusting and it affected his stance on who he let hunt for a while…. If someone like that can be affected, what about the soccer mom (non-hunter) who doesn’t have any connections to hunting etc. Just food for thought.
PS Greg – looks and soundslike you need to buy a trailer

lol, i have a pretty good story for you. i used to own a 95 ford mustang in my younger youth, i would put the bucks between the back window and the rear spoiler and drive home. if the does were small enough i would put them in the trunk. i used to drive right through my home town like that. i can't do without a 4-wheel drive truck now.

Strap it on the roof of you car, put gloves on all four hooves and put a halloween mask on the deers head. One thing about the PETA types is they are not too smart, they'll think it's a hung over college kid on your roof.
