Seems like the best of both worlds. Flip the bar up for rifle shooting, flip it down for bowhunting. Any comments? I' m in the market for a new climber.

I have not used the python, but every Summit stand I have used has been of first rate quality and has preformed great! I can highly recomend all the Summit stands for comfort and user freindly features. There customer service is also excellent.

I also do not own the python but I do own the Cobra XLS and love it, great stand. All of the people I know who have bought a Summit are very pleased with it. You can' t go wrong with it. Jump right in and buy the Summit.

A very happy Viper owner here. I just seen an add for 2 new climbers from Summit. They fold flat compared to the old triangle types....

I have the python. It' s a very comfortable stand. I ended up using it without the rest until gun season though because it made it more cumbersome for me. With the rest in the shooter position, it is a little high, so I had to raise up out of my seat to use it. It helped a bit to adjust the seat up some but it wasn' t as nice as I thought it would be and it kind of got in the way. It was too short for me to use as a foot rest too. These are very nice stands though. I love the backrest.
