What's funny is.....our gun opener was this morning....and we didn't hear a single shot within a mile (or more)of us. Word on the stret, here, is....it's tough going for everyone, right now. I don't understand it, really.
There's one farmer who controls most of the beans in the area I hunt. He owns 170 acres of his own.....and farms several other farms in the area I hunt. He cut his beans, last week. He left ALL the other beans standing in the fields. I have to believe he's seeing deer in his cut bean fields, right now. Why he didnt cut the others too....is....well...I think I know.
It's just tough hunting. We've got one more crack at them before Will leaves, tomorrow. We'll give it a good go this afternoon.....and that'll be it. It's been a real pleasure, though.

I'm sure Will's gonna tell of his own adventure in his own words.....but we'll leave it at .....he did get to add one more state to his quest.
We had a complete blast this week.....and we're already talking about some future hunts. That's what it's all about.
