Anybody ever replaced shrink tubing on Summit cables?

It's just electrical heat shrink. It does not take 3 hours. I have done this stuff for the last 20 yrs. A blow dryer makes quick work of it. (A lot faster than a pig cooker[8D])

It's a lot thicker than I expected. I got the cooker to 250deg (which summit said was fine!).
It took a while....but it's done (actually about 30 min).
it did split at one of the lugs, though. I'm gonna try to get a new one out of them....which I think is "fair". We'll see if their CS is as good as....
nevermind

Neither ofthe hair dryers in my house would shrink them when I replaced mine the couple times. I boiled water and used the steam to shrink the tubing. Worked fast.

I'm needing to do that to mine as well. But, correct me if I'm wrong here, aren't the cables like 30 bucks and the shrink tubing 20? If that's the case, hell with it. I'm just gonna get new cables and be done with it.

I used a torch on mine, worked just fine. You need to be careful with holding the torch in one spot, but it is really not too hard. It was a PITA to get them on to the cables, but once they were in place, the shrinking was easy.
