Rage customer service
So I sit down to replace blades on a bunch of my 2blade heads, today.....and I get the screw stripping thing I hear a lot of people talk about on a few heads. I was also able to replace a few.
So....I call Rage and talk to "Jenny". I tell her my issue....and she says "send 'em back. We'll replace them for you." I offer to send her the replacement blades (I have them, here) and she just says "Nope....we'll replace those from here." I told her I'd wait 'til the end of the season and try to make sure I'd identified all of them....and could send one batch. "Fine"! Now how do you beat that? |
RE: Rage customer service
Now how do you beat that?
Not need the customer service in the first place.[8D] |
RE: Rage customer service
How can you beat that: They could just send you all new free heads with no questions askedand all!! Haha you asked!!
But no thats great that they are backing there product and taking care of ya!! Thats the best way to keep a customer for sure!! |
RE: Rage customer service

And I didn't even have to say....."My daddy bought it!"[8D] |

ORIGINAL: TEmbry Why pick a fight out of nothing? My daddy? How many guys do you know that registered a business with their local city and county at 17 years old? Honestly, there are still kids out there who work for most of what they have. My parents do me great, but I work for the majority of my stuff, and am damn proud of it. Ive been mowin yards for 8 years now, its bought mea truck, all the hunting gear I could ask for, and the freedom to not have to work for a chain store/fast food. Not claiming to be rolling in the dough, Im a drop in the ocean when it comes to lawncare around here, my goal for next year is to bump it up to $15k gross. Its cool to play the age card, just don't lump me in with the rest of my lazy "gimme" attitude peers, because you couldn't be farther off. However, that's impresseive to hear. That's also coming from someone your age. ;) I work for all my hunting gear and all my "toys". I love my job, I work at an archery shop. I have had handouts though, and I'm grateful for it. I don't depend on it though. I love the age card too :D |

RE: Rage customer service
The age card was played.....because at 17yrs....you don't have a clue about what good customer service v bad is. When you've been in the business world a few years you'll know what I'm talking about. That isn't a slam on anyone. It's life.
I'm happy you're somewhat self-sufficient, Trevor. My son, too, mows a few yards for his spending money. I know. I bought his lawn mower. I bought his leaf blower. "His" business, I suppose....but ....well....you know;). So you've bought a truck and all your hunting gear on less than $15K gross? What's your profit margin? Expenditures? My son only knows he gets $50 to do the neighbor's yard. He doesn't think about the cost of equipment/fuel/maintenance/TIME/etc.... So when a teenager talks to me about customer service (really, Trevor....you couldn't have just let it go???).....I have to guffaw. I tried to pick no fight with you. I pointed out your naivety. That's all. It's naive to think a company has NO issues requiring good customer service. I meant no disrespect to the generation .......heck I don't know what you guys call yourselves. |

i know how ya guys feel. i worked since the day i was old enough to pick up potatoes. and when i got a good job i worked my butt off and became the manager of a million dollar business before my 25th birthday. hard work pays off guys keep it up.

I thought you were changing heads because of your pass-thru issue Jeff?
That is good customer service though. LT |
RE: Rage customer service
Still don't know what head I'm gonna end up using, LT....but I did have a few heads that needed some work (Rage heads). So I was just doing that. I probably have 6 to send them back. If I don't end up shooting them.....I'll have some for sale!:D
Actually....I'm going to experiment with some heads over the off-season.I'll be all ears after the season....except for one head....and that's due to one dickhead.[&:] |

Next year though, the University will buy my meals, and my housing, and heck..all expenses related to school. I will also have a state scholarship check written in my name for $2500 for my first 4 years of school to do with however I please (going to Alaska this next year with my first one), because I busted my ass to get where I wanted to be....and that is paid to go to college. Ill be going into my freshman year with enough hours to qualify as a sophomore. What is wrong with the statement "A company that doesn't need to utilize their customer service program is better than a company that offers good customer service"? Im no economist, and haven't been in the business world enough to live up to your standards, but even I can see that this is common sense. Now that you know some more about me, do I pass the test to atleast earn enough respect from you to NOT be classified as a lazy teenager? I hate talking about myself like that cause it just comes off as macho bragging BS, but why keep calling me out on something you have absolutely no freakin clue about? Im glad your son mows his neighbors yard with your mower, really am...just don't think his situation covers anybody else his age that works. |

Strike.....I'm not going to get into a "life" conversation with you, tonight. When I was your age (I'm assuming you're Trevor's age, or close..by your comment). I admit it....I knew everything (too?).
I'll give you a tip, though. You must get dumber as you get older. There's a few things I don't know, now. I KNOW I "must" have forgotten them, though.....right? |

Anywho, since we were talking about the broadheads and the customer service department.....Thats great that Rage is good enough to do this for you. Thats a lot better than a lot of companies would do for you. By the way, I shot my deer with a Rage two blade and both blades came off inside the deer. Is this normal? Has it happened to any of you?

i agree with u totally trevor.... im 17 years old an work my butt off just like you do an i bought my truck an most of my hunting gear.. like u said im not self seficent but i do work my tail off to buy things that i want. not everything like food an clothes but stuff like hunting things an just fun things...
so i agree with u totally trevor i know how you feel man.... i know what ur saying |
RE: Rage customer service
I never called you a lazy teenager. That's another one of your famous inflammatory comments (made-up, no less....and on par).
Let's break your business down. You make less than $15K a year (GROSS)....but you're still able to buy equipment (in its' entirety.....and out of pocket, no less!)/Fuel/business license(s)/Insurance(s)/All of your hunting equipment (and I know you have a Hoyt and a Benelli....lol)/etc..., etc..., etc... and STILL have the wherewithall to save $9K to put on a truck? Is your last name Iacocca? You're a freakin' financial WHIZ! What is wrong with the statement "A company that doesn't need to utilize their customer service program is better than a company that offers good customer service"? If you don't want to sound like a naive kid......resist the urge, somtimes. Sometimes when you open your mouth.....you remove all doubt. BTW....congrats on getting paid to go to college. I did the same thing. Really cool. I played baseball. What are you playing? |

BTW....congrats on getting paid to go to college. I did the same thing. Really cool. I played baseball. What are you playing? Fuel, insurance, taxes, equipment maintenance, licenses....all just expenses, minimal to what you make. One or two of your invoices will pay for ALL expenses, in my case, so everything else is basically just money in pocket. Mowing makes crazy money, its ridiculous how much people pay for others to mow their yard. I didn't say you won't have to utilize customer service, just said it would beat having to use it. But its all good, Im sick and tired of explaining myself and being crusified for being one of the few of todays youth who try and work for what they have. Thanks, I am still stoked about the college. I didn't go the sports route, I used my brain to get where I am...but we won't go into that, it doesnt jive with the whole naive theme we have going. To be completely honest, I dont really care what you believe, or think of me. I know where I am going in life, and Im not looking back. I dont need the approval of a 44 year old man name calling a 17 yo, nor do I need to post rebuttals with name calling of my own. Sorry for yet another bickering on the boards guys, but I am done. Its ridiculous on both of our parts. I apologize on my part, and it won't happen again. Back to Rage, good customer service. sucks the issue existed in the first place. Glad it worked out. |
RE: Rage customer service
You have a vivid imagination, Trevor. I never said any of those things you're obviously defensive about.
I'm saying at 17 your outlook into CS is naive. It is. Period. You said the rest. If you're mad about the line about daddy buying you stuff.....wait 'til he quits! That's a bitch, there!:D |

Trevor I'm not picking on you. I admire your spirit. I was gonna play professional baseball when I was your age. Didn't work out....but I turned out fine. I know you will.
When I tell you you're naive, though.....don't take that as an insult. I wish I was to many things, still. And that part about daddy......count your blessings.;) |
