Bowhunting in Zero Degrees

I learned alot from you guys. I'll tell ya...sometimes its just so cold with the wind chill....I'm not sure there is an outfit or set of gloves that can hack it for me. Maybe I'm a big wimp....
Once I get that chill down the back....add some nervousness...its over!

I will carry my bow til the very last day in January. Even in seasons where I tag out on bucks. Like this season.
Why.. because I love it too much not to learn more from it. And I'm chasing some does now. What can I say.. I'm hooked.

When I bowhunt in Alberta I always have my UA top and bottoms. Then I use Polar Tech (Cabela's) over that. AWESOME combination! I also bring a whole box (30)of those Grabber hand warmers for the week. I put 3 of them in my hand muffand one in each boot to keep the feet warm and toasty. If you don't dress properly you will NOT sit very long.

In addition, I like those therapy back wraps you can get at CVS. A pack of 2 costs about $5, and they make you so much more comfortable. I also have a pair of Cabelas Pac-boots...they're made for arctic hunters, and they cost well over $100 but I'd never wear another boot in the cold again. My friends laugh at me for wearing those huge boots in a tree, but after 4 hours in the stand they are all out of the tree and frozen, while I'm just getting started. (the boots make it a little hard to climb on ladders and with climbers especially. But they're worth it)
