World War VI

Yeah, I was out this morning too. Only I did take the odd-6. Heard one series of three shots, boom-boom-boom. Then I heard several two shot series throughout the morning as well. Probably many times this is a fool shooting at a deer that's running through the woods or across the pasture and they are just trying to get a hit on it?!? Not my style, but oh well. I've passed on good deer simply because I prefer to not make a running shot with a deer rifle. Just my own feelings, not judging what others do.

I didnt say that I was any better than them(and I dont think that I am)! Facts, speak for themselves. Come to NJ and hunt for a season- you'd type the SAME thing....
Ahhh, nothing like waking up to the sweet smell of elitism in the air...

NJ isnt some foreign island like New Zealand...it will be similar to all other states...Low to no pressure relatively during archery, then when gun season opens up its a war zone. Trustme, KY has plenty of hunters around come gun season, PLENTY. lol Just numbers of people. What someone shoots is of no concern to me, so long as they dont later complain of the quality of deer in the area. The only reason there are some bad hunters seen in gun hunters, is because there are 10x more of them out there. If archery season had the numbers of hunters gun season did, we would have the same complaints about bowhunters.
Just to play devils advocate (I 100% do not believe this), maybe it is the archers who lack the skill to get it done in the two week gun season, so we must use the early achery season to help us.

Skill comes from the hunter, regardless of weapon in hand. Cant fix stupid, and alot of stupid people hunt, both with a gun and a bow.
Just as a side note, I havent even touched a rifle since last November. Im bow only for deer at this point, so Im not being defensive by any means.

Haha, you guys should come to PA for the opening day of gun season. Literally one MILLION hunters across the state take to the woods, for many that will be the only day they hunt and take their gun out of it's case. You hear A LOT of shooting that day.
In a wierd way though, I like it.That day issuch a tradition in PA that those shots make me reminiscent of years past. Definitely not a shining moment for efficient hunting or deer management, but it is hunting.
