I thought you were supposed to drink that stuff???
JK..
I take a scent wick and tie about 10' of string to it, dip it in the stuff then tie it to my stand or pack... walk in. Then tie it to my stand when I get up so it hangs down below me... I had a big ol doe sniffing every leaf it touched last night...

I like to use a scent drag when i use the stuff and hang the drag on a limb close to the stand. I dont use it much though. Between it and a grunt call together, i managed to shave belly hair on a 140 at 10 yards four years ago [&:]

When I used to use a scent drag I would wait until I got to my stand, get my stuff ready, then apply the scent to my boots and walk away from my stand. My idea was to have the scent at the strongest dosage near my stand. I figured that the bucks always followed the scent in the strongest direction. I would make two scent trails from my stand.

I always pull my drags away from my stand for the very reason GregH says. I want the deer to work toward the strongest scent. Plus..
I'm never really certain even if I get a forcast of what the winds gonna be doing.
I just want one morning where the wind is forcast correctly this season. I check four sources and they are all different for speed and direction.
