I still wanna know WHY would you wait overnight on a perfectly hit deer????????

No offence DT, but how many years have you been hunting deer?

X2. You had to go to the car because you were hyperthermic? So the big tough marine was cold and wet? I don't get itman, I really just don't get it. If I have a perfectly hit deer down I may go warm up and get some dry clothes but I'll spend all night looking so I get the deer and the coyotes don't. Frankly I'm disappointed.

This is just my opinion and experience with bow hunting, but, if he was hit in the lungs I don't see how he would have gone very far. I made a bad shot on my 7 point Friday, and found him about 70 yards from where I shot him. After further thinking and inspection,I hit him in the liver and left rear knee cap and he bleed out in 70 yards, and I didn't use a Rage. Last years deer, I hit in the lungs and he only went about 70 yards or so also. But I did get a pass through on both deer. I don't understand how you didn't get a pass through. Is your bow light in the pounds you are pulling? I'm not trying to criticize, just throwing out some thoughts is all. GL finding him.

If he made it to the briar thickets- I'll never find him in there. I'll have to wait and look for the buzzards.
I'm sure the last thing that DT will do is give up on this deer guys. I'm sure that he didn'tliterally mean that he would just wait for the buzzards to show him where the deer was. Just a figure of speech meaning that he's gonna have a really tough time in there looking for it. More like on his hands and knees looking. Good luck DT. If you ever need help looking for something let me know as I'm right around the corner.
