Default Buck Roar? (Story Up)

Ever since this call came out every time I saw it on a hunting show or commercial I would think to my self or tell who ever was with me, "I have been bow hunting for 15 years, hundreds of hours a season and I have never herd a deer make that sound". Well guess what I saw, a year and a half old buck roar this evening. This little stud did it 4 times, I was like WTF. The 4 doe he was following around were not at all impressed. I am on the phone right now trying to get him a job with Primos to do the commercials. But still after seeing it and hearing it I am not going to run right to Wal-Mart and buy one.[/align]

I shot a doe and had a basket rack comming up to her and "roaring". It was the sickest thing I had ever heard.. He continually moved her with his rack and scraping her with the front hooves making that guteral sound....

I have been bowhunting since I was 13 so it has been 23 years that I have spent time every fall in the woods. When the Buck Roar was introduced, I could say at that time I have never heard that sound. That all changed two seasons ago when it was the last week of the PA Season. I was in the stand for about 20 minutes as I noticed a small buck following my drag line (which he was a 7pt) considering it was the last week I started the do shoot, or do I pass. Now, some neighbors love to hunt the bunnies so I have from time to time have them coming thru me to get to some good bunny cover. Anyway as this 7pt starts to look over his shoulder, giving me the impression another deer is coming. Minutes go by, nothing. The 7 pt continues to follow the trail. As he takes about 1/2 dozen steps, I hear this crashing in the brush and it sounds like a person coming....it gets to a point where I can't see it and it quits...the 7 pt is full attention. Then it happened, I hear this LOUD double like Grunt and then here comes this mature buck on a dead run at this 7pt. As he is running at this 7 pt, the tall tined 8pt (from what I could see) runs 20 yards from me just giving these aggressive grunts. The 7 pt wastes no time going out of sight. The mature buck stands his ground about 60 yards from me watching and listening. As he turns to walk out of sight (keep in mind my eyes are all on him) I catch movement out of my eye and low and behold I see another buck, and not a bad sized watching the mature buck only 2o yards fom my stand...no opportunity to shoot.

Needless to say this happened about 45 minutes before dark and these deer all stayed around within sight right until dark. I can remember clearly that it was Wednesday and Saturday was the end of the season. I ended up seeing 4 different bucks, 2 good ones and 5 does...amazing that they all showed up after themature buck showed up, I think it was because they wanted to see why someone was so vocal.

Buck roar............of course ! What deer hunter with a Cabelas club Visa,in his right mind would buy a buck meow............buck quack............buck bark ...next million dollar seller is the mature buck fart.
And with the wide spread use of the butt out tool the new and adjustable tone mature buck fart call will be a million dollar baby.[]

Be the first on your block to fart like a mature buck.

The first and only timeI heard it was in 2003 in Ohio. I seen the 9pt (about 125") that made the sound. I was suprised at what I heard. I never read anything on this. He was chasing a young doe!

2006 I killed a buck that spent 35 minutes chasing a smaller buck from his doe. Over that time he grunted, growled, roared, & snort wheezed time and again. It was one of the most intense wildlife displays I've ever witnessed.
