Default Is it too late?

I've got a spot I'm tired of using my climber in, and I want to hang a stand, do you think if I go in midday tomorrow and put it up, (sprayed down w/ scent killer) it will mess anything up?

Also do you think it'd be too early to hunt it friday?

i also want to hang a stand there because I can sneak in early in the mornings easier w/o using my climber.

Some will say hunt the stand the day you hang it. I have and I dont thinke it make a diffrance one way or the other I always keep 2 or 3 stands dwn to hang during the rut.

Hang it, wait a few days and hunt it. You know the area you hunt and how the deer in your area will react. If your comfortable with hunting it the same day, then do so. As long as you put it up without making a lot of noise I see this as being no different then using a climber for the first time in a new spot.

I always keep two stands aside just in case I need to move around and I have hunted them the day I put them up and in some spots I have given them some time....Just depends on situation!!!! I would hang it and hunt in it Friday!!!!

I'm one for hang it and hunt it. Have everything ready to go so it's up and out of there as quick as possible. Go during the middle of the day and be scent free as you possibly can. Don't stomp around the area any more than you need to.

Hang it. I think its more important if you can get in and out unnoticed than hanging a stand in a new spot. During the season I move a stand or two if necessary, and I generally find it necessary. Besides, if you are hunting that area with a climber now and put a hangon up to hunt later whats the difference?

I've hung a stand at noon...hunted the evening and shot a 138 class 8 pointer. Just one instance.
