Default Well..

I missed. 3 does came in at 6:19 downwind and behind my treestand. I take about a 6 yard shot at a little fawn and shot over its back. There is some hair on the BH and the shaft of the arrow, but no blood. This wasnt a leathal hit right? The deer didnt know what happened and didnt see me. I missed because, aiming too high, and it jumped the string somehow even that close....

Sounds like you and the deer got some experance tonight. Everybody misses. I missed a huge 9pt last year it made me sick. I had not missed a deer in 10 years.

O, and i should add what i learned about deer and rain. They dont move much in it, but when it stops, deer everwhere. I sat from 4 to 5:30 in pouring rain. It was worth it though.

At 6 yards I doubt it jumped the string, especially if the fawn was not on alert....where did you aim? Even if you aimed with your 20 yard pin dead on, that tight downward shot should have exited through at an angle to get some good vitals.

It all seems like a blur. I know i seen the deer drop down a couple inches but i dont know if that was because the arrow hitting the ground or jumping the string. My top pin is set for like 10 yards. I was just really nervous.

I bet, The 2 timesI sat in this standI had 2 chances at deer.

Another thing that amazed me is how quiet deer can walk through brush. It was like 3 deer just apperared out of no where.
