Ok for those of you who seen my post about my hunt in 10-8-08.
Me talking of shooting low maybe skinning a deer with the arrow following blodd 2 hours. Also had having measured distance due to not owning a range finder yet.
Well i took my bow out today to do a little target practice, and i was waxing it up and noticed this.
The last time i was at the bow shop i went to replace it with a teflon one and was talked out of changing it out because the one that came on the bow was supposed to be a better grade.
I think im going to be disappointed when this happen in the field, so i know im going to buy 2 when i go to get this fixed.
Now my whole deal is, could this have cause my shot to be off so much that i grazed the deer i shot at?
I know bowhunters miss, but i have practiced so much i thought for sure i was in a good confident range to hit my deer, since i pre measured distances and im hunting from a popup ground blind.
Anyone know if this could have been broke on the trip going to the lease or during shot and messed up the trajectory of my arrow? I shot my bow at the lease and it shot find 20 and 30 yards. So im guessing it broke during my hunt :S. Sorry for such crappy image, it was on my phone. But you guys should get the idea what it is easy.

If it was binding the cables, it sure could've slowed things down enough to change the trajectory. Did it make any noise when you shot? I'm thinking you should've heard something if it made that much difference in the shot.

Yeah, i heard a noise but i thought it was the bow limb maybe striking the top of my ameristep g20 popup blind.
But i know now, it was probably this :S.
Would be nice to know if teflon ones are better or what to buy. My bow is only 2 years old, so i dont think it should have busted that fast?
