actually Ihelped witha tag study of whitetail fawns. the biologists were not so concerned with scent, they said that most larg mammals were not quite like rodents or birds when it came to human contact with the young.
generally speaking it is unwise to handle a wild animal, and by no means was this a great thing to do, but I very highly doubt any harm was done to the fawn. Chances are that it is growing up nicely.
Now small birds and small mammels are a completely differnt story. they will often abandon the whole area after human disturbance.

Jesus Loves Archers,

did you ever do any resource into your source? Or check into Lee Rue's findings? I still haven't found any PEER REVIEWED articles to support your findings.

Here is even a fact sheet by a governmental agency; most .gov sources are reliable with scientific data

http://www.nps.gov/vafo/parkmgmt/upl...ct%20Fawns.pdf

heres another .org source saying the same thing

http://www.thegrowcenter.org/pdf/How...ded-Fawns2.pdf

Not trying to argue you with you boss but you've yet to show me any support for what you say to be true. Also, you've yet to show me any counterarguments for what i've shown ya
