I keep one and update iteverytime I go hunting. I try to be as detailed as possible and leave reminder notes for next season. I record the facts(weather, time, location, sightings etc) and I try to write a narrative each timeso that othersmay readin the future.

Always have one. They're neat to read a few years down the line.

I started doing this last year.

Date/and day of week
AM/PM
Time on stand
what stand did I go to
Temp.... starting from when I get in the stand, and then temp when I get out.
Wind speed, and direction
was it sunny or raining
Deer activity
Buck or doe
Where deer was seen
what time deer was seen
where deer was headed
And then any notes, such as what date they picked the corn or beans.

I used to keep one just for successful hunts, but started keeping one for all outings last year and this year I'm recording conditions and not just what happened on stand. It's fun to do and will only help later on down the road.
