Now that I got my freezer doe out of the way I want to focus on a buck hunting. I hunt 60acre farm that belongs to my grandfather, for the past 17yrs and seen a few great bucks. Its been 6-7yrs since Ive seen them around but I know they are there. Last year I missed a basket rack 8 pointer but know he isnt the biggest around especialy in ohio. Its almost like the big ones disappeared but I think they got smarter. We always seenand heardthem enter the northwest corner of they property, but couldnt figure out where there trail was. During rabbit season last year I happen to stumble across it, bad thing its right buy the property line intersection with 3 different properties. But a good section goes through my grandfathers woods. So I hung a stand back there that is about 20yds off the trail and well concealed. Since the trail is in a secluded area its a stand I dont want to hunt very often, especialy in early season. Now my question for all you is when should I attempt to hunt it??? There is alot of buck sign back in that area so I know they are there. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
