Time of Day
#12
The reason I love mornings is the anticipation, hearing, watching the woods awaken and come alive. As the first light starts to wonder in, my anticipation grows with each ray. Conversely, in the evening there is that magic hour but as light fades, so does one's hopes. I also hate walking out after light but don't mind walking in before light. Walking out is a feeling of "failure" while walking in the anticipation of success is high.
Most of my success has come in the evenings, but there is just something about getting out there early and, like you said, "watching the woods awaken and come alive." That's why I hunt.
