I've seen young bucks do this around small watering holes.
Seen the same thing at a creek crossing I hunt. Most often younger bucks.

Yep had a lil spike do that to me several years ago......ran around and just jumped right in the middle of a pond and saw around. I got a pretty good kick out of it

I seen to young bucks do that once in a creek. I see young Doe's do that quite often on my brother inlaws farm.

Perhaps he is sick!! Or maybe he had a bug in his ear and he couldnt get it out so he was running around in circles in pain!!!

I've seen does doing it as well, also around a pond. The weather was warm and it was mid afternoon. The would chase each other and jump into the pond and run around, jump in again. It really was rather amusing. They were oblivious to me watching them.Definately looked like play.
