last time I thought I was close I was hunting A corner of a big cornfield watching a 160 class 8 work a scrape 15 yards away from me for about 10 minutes. I was so close, that I could see his freakin drool. Unfortunatly for me I was on a property i can only shoot does....
I saw him in similar settings and situations 3 times. this was last year
I am kinda proud of myself for showing the restraint. and so was the game farm owner..
So I might get to shoot him this year!! heheheh
I will probably just see a white flag and horns tho lol

I have that feeling this year!! I haven't even been out yet, but the camera doesn't lie.
I truly hope you can put it together and come out with a nice buck.

Aaron....actully I had it in '06, too...and even "called my shot" on a deer the next morning. I was damned lucky....but that deer's on my wall, too (shot that very next morning). Damned lucky.
Don't know.....just "feelin it".....and I don't meana doe. Unless I see a doe in the non-peak hours....I'm not gonna take one (if afforded the shot).
I'm not trying to sound cocky.....just having a good feeling. it might all turn to crap
I'm guessing Lisa's wishing I had "that feeling" about the drywall I need to put up!

I can't help it....and I don't mind saying so. I feel like I'm "close" to scoring on a buck.
Do you guys ever feel like everything's falling into place.....and something special's gonna happen, soon?

I'm as "close" as I'll ever be. Starting with Pa's archery opener (Oct 4th) I can hunt pretty much when ever I feel like it. This means I'll be hunting all phases of the rut, right through the end ( Nov 15th) of the "early season". This will the first time in my life I've ever had this opportunity. It also gives me a chance to be real picky, so I believe I'll get me a good one. I also have Alberta (last week of Nov) as a good back up.
I'm pumped!!! Wait a minute, I say that every year.
