Going scouting
heading to the creek bottom tommarow, and finish up my tree stand locations...i think i got it all planned out:
there are trails everywhere once you get about 30-40 yds from the creek, and they all seem to end up down stream where the creek gets shallow and turns right, there is a big downfall that cuts off that crossing now, and it seems they are re-routed to the back side of this big ol oak tree.
i would have plenty of shooting lanes, clear vision and could get pretty good and high in the tree, out of the way.
its almost too perfect! along the other side of the creek, after they cross, i have found alot of old rubs, some real nice new rubs. there is a few that are round 4-5 in around and are rubbed like hr glasses!
last year i spotted a nice 10 pointer, but he was way out of range, and that was the last i seen of him. now, if he survived, he would be a shooter for sure!
