Default what is preferred (ground, tree)

This is only my second year of bow hunting so I have some questions. I hunt on a friend of mines land, so I have to use what stands he has in place. They are set up for rifle, I'm the only one who bow hunts. Last year I hunted out of a slighted elevated ground stand (5' - 6') which was lucky and successful only on the 1st day. Not sure if its better to go to that stand again or use one of the high tree stands or just stay on the ground all together and hide in the woods? Whats your alls thought...

Do any of the ones you mentioned, or secure permission to hang stands of your own. You might also consider the purchase of a climber or lightweight ladder stand like this one:

This one also doubles as a gear/game cart.

Lets see your from MD and you're a cowboy fan. Tiss Tiss. Look into buying a portable stand, that way you can move around as you see what the deer are doing.
