Default Draw length question..

I shoot an older Darden 42 " axel to axel..compound My arrows are 31" long and I use a quick release and a string loop.

If I bought say...a 36" axel to axel compound would my draw length and arrow length change?/
Thanks,
C7

No sir, your draw length will not change (Should be the same from bow to bow, your body determines the draw length, not the bow), however you could voluntarily change your arrow length based on your setup. Different kinds of rests give some flexibility in arrow length.

Typicaly the end of your arrow should be less than two inches from the end of your rest, your draw length is what it is.

Thanks fellows..
I have about 20 carbon arrows..31" ...so if I change bows I should be able to keep those arrows..They are 6075 Terminators with 100 grain Steel Force Broadheads

Chuck, good to see you up here in the bowhunting forum! Anyways, I'm not sure what the cam system is like on your current bow, but I would assume it's a less aggressive solocam or just wheels on both ends. Assuming you were using the correct spined arrows on that bow, and you're not jumping to a new very aggressive (hard) cam bow now, you should be fine using the same arrows. That's also assuming you stay at the same draw weight.

Thanks Matt..

Yes sir..it just has the old type wheel..It shoots great at 20-25 yds but after that...dies..I shoot between 60-65 lbs..My groups are good at that range..

I was thinking about a better bow to reach out more...maybe up to 35 yds..When I was using my range finder up in the tree last year..man, 20 yds isn't very far..
