To be honest , i have stopped shooting groups . Did 2 x Robin Hood and thought it a bad idea to shoot groups anymore , i'm hitting everything i aim at within 1" at 20 and 30yd andwithin 2" at 40yds and thats with rage practice heads . If its further than 40 yds , it gets to play another day .That'll get the job done i think , now where them Elk .

All shafts touching out to 30. most shafts touching, with the random one an inch out at 40. 50 and 60, within the 3" black dot on my block.
Yeah, that pretty much describes how I shoot with my recurve. My groups get a little tighter when I switch to my compound. [8D] LOL just kidding! Seriously though that is some awesome shooting.

A marksman with a bow, I don't claim to be. I'm a bowhunter who shoots broadheads (with practice blades)only, and I'm satisfied with my results. This groupis in a 5" ring at 20yrds. Ican't practice any further than this due to where I live. I won't shoot at a deer past 30yrds.

DT.....

Don't sell yourself short. If those are your groups...all the time.....you would hand Hopkins his lunch more often than not.

Those groups (cited)are nothing short of "remarkable".

Heh, better than me too with target gear. It makes me wonder what people consider "consistent".

With target gearat 40 yardsI can put 25+ out of 30 arrows into the 5 ring on a NFAA 50cm face. To give perspective, the 5 ring is something like 3.9X inches in diameter. I've had days where I could put all 30 in the ring, but that's rare, I average more like 27-28 out of 30.

Arrows touching at 40 yards consistently with the occasional flyer only being 1" out is world class. I've shot with guys that hold world titles in Open Pro classes that don't hold groups like that consistently.

Edit - At 20 yards as you can seein my avatar I have put 45 out of 45 into a 1.5" circle. [8D] I have a very small handful of perfect vegas games under my belt now which is either 45 or 30 arrows in a row into that 10 ring (1.5" diameter) depending on format. My highest X count is 36 out of 45, (x's are .75" in diameter).

And that's all with high end specialized target gear........

I've talked with quite a fewbowhunters who are either EXTREME closet archery talents who can only seem to duplicate these feats by themselves,or they simply don't understandexactly whatworld class shooting looks like so they don't know where to stop the BS.

I don't group anymore. When I practice I do my best to make each shot count so I pretend each is the first and only shot. The only time I'll group is when I change something.
