Default How long has everyone had to wait to get their new Hoyts?

I was curious how long people were having to wait to get their new Hoyts. I ordered mine on 12/23/2002 and I' m still waiting. Orginally I was told 4-6 weeks, then 6-8 and now it' s supposed to be ready by the end of the month. Is this normal?? This isn' t even a target color bow!!! It' s a normal, camo-colored Pro Tec
in 29" and 70lb draw.

My dealer had the bow I wanted in stock. I walked in on the 27th of December and walked out with my bow.

I believe sales have greatly exceded what Hoyt had originally predicted and they were not prepared manufacturing-wise to handle the needed capacity.

It happens every year at this time. They have the BIG SHOW in February and usually the shops stock up. Most manufacturers are slow in delivery around this time. AND... since they cleaned up in Vegas there is probably a big line of old MMMMMmmmmmmmmmm ......... Mmmmmmmmmmmm..... MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm ..(you know) shooter jumping ship and ordering what' s hot.

I ordered mine when they first came out and had it in 3-4 weeks like they told me.

They did get swamped with orders after that and they got way behind but I talked to my dealer the other day and he said they were back down to 4-5 weeks .I know he sells a lot and doesn' t seem to have as much of a problem that other shops have but he did have some slow orders at the peek.

The first one took about three weeks.

The second one took about a month.

The third and fourth ones I just bought off the shelf...

Thanks for the replies guys!! I was hoping to have it in, set up and sighted in for a IBO World Qualifier that is happening this weekend, but I guess I' ll have to use my old reliable Martin instead. Hopefully, I' ll have it soon enough to have it ready for the Cancer Shoot down here on Memorial Day weekend.
