what will become of your deer

It really depends how many i get i will shoot a couple and the freezers will be full ( i need to invest in another freezer lol ) and the other meat that i dont have room for i donate or give it to my brother whos in college who doesnt have much money lol or a guy that lets me hunt on his place very now and then and whoever else wants it.
Oh yea im a senior in high school and every year around christmas our ag teacher lets us hunters bring in a few does and we show people how to skin and quarter them, then we cut them up and make fajitas and chicken fry the next day. i just thought some of yall might think that is neat.
Thanks

If I get 1 or 2 deer, all of it will go to steaks, chops, and roasts. All the grind meat will go to make ground venison. If I get 3 or 4 I'll do the same as above but I'll also do summer sausage and hot sticks along with the rest of the meat.
Me and my wife give most of the summer sausage and sticks away and we use the ground meat and steaks and roasts all year long. We try not to buy any meat accept for chicken and a little bit of pork.

Last year I shot 9 deer, kept 6 for myself and gave 3 away. 2 to freinds who did not score, and 1 to the hunters for the hungry program. I can some meat, grind a lot into burger and the rest in steaks and roasts. The burger and caned meat are the most useful overall. If you make Jerky you can store it in the freezer in zip lock bags. It keep for a long time that way and only takes a min or two to "thaw".

I can't keep enough jerkey. Friends come over and eat it, my kids want it, daughters friends at college, etc. It goes really fast. I also make about 20 pounds of smoked summer sausage here at the house. I also make about 20 pounds of breakfast sausage and the rest is in steaks. I'll go through 3-4 easy. Beyond that, i'll give it to friends as we don't have a local hunters for the homeless here yet.

It depends on how many I kill. I am hunting 3 different states. I can kill 3 in my home state. I can kill 2 bucks and unlimited does (in some areas) in another state. I can kill 1 buck and 1 doe in another state. So, (if all goes well) I will keep 2 for me. I will give 1 to my neighbor. I will give 1 to my mom and dad that they will split with my sister and BIL. I will give one to my wife's parents that they will split with her brother and SIL. Anything after that goes to hunters and farmers feeding the hungry, the local churches, and or anyone that asks for some deer meat.

Hopefully we will be lucky enough to get 12-15 deer between myself, my Dad and my girl. We generally make Sausage, Pepperoni, Jerky, Chili, Smoke some roasts, Steaks and breakfast meat. We do all our own butchering/processing so we know we got our own meat back and to keep the costs low. We keep our landowners supplied and we also donate meat to people that really need it to feed themselves.

, usually steaks, roasts, burger, jerky and stew meat.
