Decoys?

Decoys?
I've been doing a little reasearch lately on decoys in the hopes of trying one out this season. I seem to see mostly mixed reviews on the subject (either works great or goes horribly wrong). I was hoping to get some feedback from people who have used decoys and some of their first-hand knwoledge on the subject rather then relying on the same old articles i've been reading. What types of situations do you use them in? Do you set up a buck or doe? What brand of decoy has worked for you?

RE: Decoys?
the times that i have used decoys, the deer seemed to be afraid of them yet, i left them out overnight and wheni came back the next morning, the decoys was completely ripped apart by another buck. it had gotten gored all the way thru the plastic and he was laying in pieces

RE: Decoys?
I've had mixed reactions...
Buck hate them and want to come in and kill the deer...
Does are usually ok until they get close...
It's all about timing... I put a buck decoy over a scrape once, and boy did that piss off the owner, he came charging in as soon as he noticed it... ears, pinned back, walking sideways, tore up the ground and thrashed bushes w/ his horns. It was an awesome dispay... To bad I missed the deer.
Granted this was the 2nd week of Nov. They work wonders during the rut. Just that they are cumbersome...
