Duke, at 255 fps your arrow's seeing 73 ft lbs of KE but more importantly, A PILE of momentum!
Ya.. this is the stuff I know nothing about. Zilch-o.

I need to understand it better. And after this next season am probably going to make that a goal of mine. Prepare fo the Q's gents.

All I know is that when my arrow hits a target.. it wobbles exceedingly!

Not to get into aluminum over carbon or heavy over light but that wobble is not a good thing, the arrow should have used all that energy to penetrate. Aluminum arrows will generally wobble more after hitting a target than a carbon, which in my minds eye, tells me there is wasted energy.Carbon arrows do not wobble like this, take that for what is worth.

I am not bashing aluminum, they definately have some advantages.

Fox, I read that as in....the target wobbles exceedinly....from the impact of stopping the arrows.

In that case,I agree.ACtually, after reading it again,I agree.

BUT,ime,an aluminum arrows wobbles exceedingly after hitting a target so I quess, that is where my assumption came from.[:-]

Agreed, I'd take an equal weighted carbon over aluminum to be honest with you. You point is very valid.

Rob, those look awesome I tried my new trad aluminums yesterday from my bowtech and couldnt believe the thump they made on impact. And i thought my bow was quiet with the carbons, it was even quieter with the aluminums.
