the sound I herd was a grunt then I stopped. If you look a the pic you can see that axle pulled out they the limbs the limbs didn't brake from pulling down nor did I put that much pressure on it because I new it needed aspecial press and I didn't want to brake a bow I just paid $750 for. If I would have herd, or feltthat Icracked a limb even a little bit I would have bought new limbs. I could have lost a eye or sent a piece of limb thew my neck.
I was told Bowtech has replacement limbs and the new generals come with bolts going threw right where mine broke. and they have shot over 7000 time with no fail. That was really nice of Bowtech to do just for me even before I broke my bow.
also I wouldn't think about jumping ship on a bow I really liked If I was the reason it broke. I would get the replacement and put the pep in the way I ended up putting it in, with a tool into the string. and just shoot it forever.

Oh the Bowtech forum comes to life....
Listen, it sucks your general blew up, your best bet is to get rid of it.... put the money towards something that does not require a specialized press (that bowtech hasn't made public yet) and shoot it.

It really is a shame that when someone has an issue with a beloved Bowtech they get drug through the mud. WHO ARE YOU that he has to show you pictures?? Do you really think that you are that important that you are going to have the final say as to whether or not this happened????
What amazes me is how every authorized dealer in the country seems to have forgotten how to press a bow since Bowtech became a bow line.... it's always the press

Some of you reaaaaaaaaally need to get over yourselves.

I think that Bowtech should reconsider what they do, if you make a bow thats worth 700 bucks, and it requires a specialized press, or seperate special handling precautions to make it safe for the new guy... then make it public so that some dude doesn't pres said 700 dollar bow wrong and possibly injure themselves. Mathews had an issue that was addressed and corrected, whats the deal?
If you don't know any better, new to bowhunting, have 700 bucks... buy a Hoyt.

Hbuck101,
That stinks. Don't give up on them. If you shoot long enough most will have a bow let loose. I nuked many bows in my days. I heard, no read that a few blew up but yet to see one. What did your dealer say or do for you? I know lots of people who have them and have not heard one complaint.
