Which do you put more time/effort into? Work or hunting?
For me it’s not much of a contest. Hunting far and away. My career field is just not that interesting to me where I would ever consider thinking about it outside of my workplace. And I’m not the type of person to bury themselves in long hour workdays. Hunting on the other hand…..well it’s not too hard to figure out my feelings on that subject.

Work unfortunately. When your income is based solely on your performance, and you are in direct control of that income.......it's a lot more motivating to get it done. Between office hours and the time spent at home I put in a solid 60+ hours a week. Heck, I just bought an iPhone so that I can work while in a treestand. [&:]

I'm also at that point in my career that I put in my days' work and it's forgotten until the next morning. I also take almost every day of my vacation to hunt. Makes for a long first 8-9 months of the year, but October and November are great

Not unusualto go3 weeks to amonth straight before getting a day off during the busy times on the farm. You hope for rain on the weekend to get a day off. If it rains during the week... you work. [:'(]Tim

Work dominates for me.I am a partner in a business with 16 employee's in a sales and service related industry.I have some flexibility but when I am not in the work really piles up.My work weeks are 50 to 55 hours, for a lot of years they were 70 plus.

I would love to say hunting, but at the moment its work. I got a new job and am in the process of getting a new place to live so I haven't had much time to put into this season yet.

Being I am a self employed milk hauler my job is a 7 day 365 days a year job. Good thing I have employee's also or I wouldn't get a day in to go hunting. When I'm around home my hunting isn't nearly as serious as I would like it to be, work is always there so it comes 1st all the time, it has to, I have no choice. When I go away to Montana or to northern Mn its a different story. I'm far enough away where I'm not in control of my job as much as I am when I'm home so I do concentrate much more when I'm a long ways from home.

work seems to consume more of my time than it should, but I am responsible for a 1m sq ft distribution center. But I apply as much time as possible to hunting as well- work provides me funds to support my addiction so I will say work

I work in assembly for the worlds leading heavy equipment manufacturer, however it's just a job. I never take my work home with me. However, hunting is my life.... it's what I do, practice, think about and prepare for....everyday of the year!Am I a freak???
