It sucks losing arrows. From my experience with racoon and possum they seem to be like run flat puncture seal tires. We had a big metal spike to deal with them in live traps but it was too slow and didn't really work well. I'd love to go out and shoot all of them a 12 ga. If you want to quietly get rid of them live trap them and let them swim (in the cage) works every time.

Find a good trapper in your area (w/ references). Trust me, raccoon are easy to selectively catch and your population can be cut in half in a week. Particulary....since their pelts may be hitting a new high this fall. You may be burning $30 every time you kill one of those without skinning it.
