Honestly, he tells me he doesn't own one. Whatever. Nobodies going back to him anyway. It's a delicate situation, though. We're not only friends, he's one of our shop shooters.....but anyway.......
Man I hope at least he had the cape commercially tanned because if he did it himself I think you're gonna REALLY regret the decision to use this guy. (Better check)
Sounds like a piece of work........what made you use him? I mean surely you would have had to see some other stuff he's done.
That's such a beautiful deer I hope you can get it straightened out.
PersonallyI would have ripped the guy's spleen out through his left ear by now.[:@]

mobow, my family uses a taxidermist that does VERY good work, for a very reasonable price. if you ever want his number, shoot me a pm.

i can also take some detail pics of the mounts weve had done by him, if you want to see his work first.

Matt, like I mentioned, he's one of our shop shooters.....support your own kind of thing. Yes, I've seen his work before, and it looks MUCH better than that. Oh, and yes, he did use a commercial tannery. The hide looks absolutely incredible.

Ripping out his SPLEEN was just a starting point......I almost changed his gender....[:@]

Yea Mobow thats gotta be a real frustrating situation your in. I for one wouldn't ever want to tell anyone that there deer mount don't look to well but damn there's a few things he didn't do to well on yours. It definitely needs some work on the inside ears and corner of the eye's. I can't believe he didn't position the ears like you asked him to also![>:] Besides what I mentioned the rest looks good to me.

Good luck in whatever you end up doing. Get that buck measured too man!! He's going to keep shrinking.

Great buck!

Man, I sure hope that can be saved. Otherwise, shop for a new cape and have it done right. Those eyes are something else, unless it's just a bad angle in the pic.

Good luck.

Mobow, congrats again on the buck. I am really sorry to see how your trophy turned out. He and you both deserve much better than that. Hopefully JM's guy can get it straightened out for you.

Let us know how it turns out.
