If I was a 1.5 year old buck a hunter herewould have a hard time finding me in the Mountain/Forested habitat out here, I'd be much more worried about mountain lions or wolves killing me.

Knowning what I know about the deer in my area, Id survive. Just lay around and get fat, move only at night, and pull outnight before opening day of gun season, head cross river and head north to the sanctuary, and come back in May 
and then repeat.
