I have some 8 inch long 1/2 inch wood dowels mounted on a wall frame in the basement. The bows rest on the dowels on the risers. All I have to do is grab one and start shooting. The basement is dry as a bone and heated.

I keep mine handy on a rack-recurves on one and longbows on another.

mine is either in the case in my room or leaning against the wall next to my bed ready to go in the morning.

Sometimes in the bow case...but rarely. Most of the time it hangs from a hook on the wall in my basement/den. I usually at least " hold it" each day and shoot at least 2 or 3 times a week so it never really gets put away for any extended period of time.
