That'a fair representative read. Technically.....I'm a shop shooter for my local archery shop. What I receive in "benefits" from my shop owner comes back to him many times over via word of mouth; direct sales I've sent him; and through ideas we've shared regarding the direction he wants to go with his business (and the industry).

It's a 2-way street.....in which the shop owner (and manufacturers' pro staffers -if you want to look at it in that light, as well) PROBABLY receives the greater "benefit" of the relationship.

Congrats on your success, Greg. I hope our conversation was beneficial.I look forwardtoseeing your future work. Kudos.

LOL... just so we don't see this thread pop up on a monthly basis... my column will be a fixture on the back page of Inside Archery moving forward; in other words, it really wasn't an "article" per se as I'm currently writing for Bowhunter but a monthly spot with different topics for every issue. As Buckeye stated, this was actually the second one, and I think I'm four or five into it now from a deadline standpoint...

Again... thanks so much for the recognition. With all the hard work I've put into HNI attempting to make this a better community over the last decade, I appreciate the congratulations from here especially so. And, yes Jeff -- our conversation was helpful, as was all who I spoke with on this and other topics that I've already covered. I'll continue to reach out to those whom I know would be an asset to that month's topic, and please know that maybe because someone didn't get quoted or mentioned directly that you're still a huge help in rounding out an idea. I'm limited to so many words every month, and obviously I've got to pick and choose information to make the story... it's like anything else: you certainly want way MORE information heading into the final writing than not enough; that's when it gets scary trying to make a deadline!

Nice read Greg. Congrats!

It's also nice to see Blevins mentioned in the article. That's where I get all my stuff...of course I have to pay for it.

Who's Greg/MO?

Congrats Greg. Unfortunately, I dropped all my magazine subscriptions so I can't read them first hand.

Congrats Greg!

If you ever get stuck on how to word something drop me a line. I've got to put my BA in journalism to use somewhere other than writing great posts for this board.
