I send best wishes for your sisters recovery!Had m/c wrecks...brain bucket saved my life in last one! Kinda screwed up thinking the gov't gives choices on head gear but makes a law saying to wear seat belts...George Carlin shoulda touched on this one before passing on!

I hate to hear news like that. Thoughts and prayers sent from WV.
As for law's that force you wear a Helmet or a seatbelt I say no thanks. Let me decide those things. I don't think lawmakers should have any say and they probably have better things to decide on anyway.
I don't ride, but I always use me seatbelt. I can't imagine a law that makes a hunter wear a safety belt...[&:]. It's a slippery slope.

I am sorry TG---please were helmets. Man I saw a kid fall out of the back of a truck bed when i was a teenager at the beach. The kid smacked his head on the concrete as hard as I have ever seen anyone....he never woke up from his coma. I hope your sister keeps on getting better and cherishes life each day!

Where do you think that most of Gary Busey's goofiness came from? He was a major spokesman against helmets. Then he laid his harley down andnobody has understood a thing that he said since.

I pray for your sister'squick and completerecovery.
I ride nearly every day. Whether or not I wear a helmet is one person's decision... mine.

Perhaps it shouldn't be a law and seatbelts shouldn't either but then you should not be able to sue or collect government aid due to injuries incurred because you chose not wear either one. No one wants the government breathing down their neck but no one seems to want to take responsibility for the results of thier bad decisions either.
Best wishes to your sister.
