Bowhunters

You guys might know me, I just moved to WI because people in MN don't care for me anymore. My name is Mitch Rompola and I never brag about what I shoot or what I have done in my life. I sit back and read these threads and enjoy the chest thumping that goes on. I say keep it up and do what you gotta do to make yourselfs feel like a man.

Sure I may not get out there and plant 30-50 acre food plots, watch the deer 365 days a year, trim shooting lanes all the time, move stands every other week, hang the cams, check the cams, sit 12 hours straight, visit my local proshop on a daily basis, might not shoot every day of the week, may not get the biggest bucks around, Ive made bad shots, missed shots, lost deer, wounded deer, tracked adeer for6 hours just to find out the one youre tracking isnt the one you hit but some other idiot on the other side of the river shot, I may not use the "best" gear on the market but what I use I know how to use when to use it, when not to use it, I dont spend thousands of dollars on archery gear every year, dont go west to hunt, or any other direction out of the state, I havent met any of the pros other than Al Warren, I dont give advice that I know nothing about, and if I do and am in the wrong someone always corrects me, its a learning process, I shake the hand of any fellow hunter that is successful, maybe even buy him/her a beer. Im an honest, hard working guy. I am a bow hunter. And a pretty darned good one. At least I like to think I am.

I'll extend the invitation toreform this logic to make sense in anyway that is less than retarded, maybe the difference in 25 yards vs. 300 yards is more than you can wrap your brain around but, like I said, Its an opinion....
and no, I don't rifle hunt whitetails... I use a slug gun, and its still within35 yards.
Go stalk another thread and continue your brash of unrelated comments elsewhere.

you havent rifle hunted much have you
and if youre going to say something like that, then how come using a compound is still bowhunting, comparing it to a recurve or longbow?

I dissagree. Based soley on observations from this site and others, Bowhunters in general seem to be more decent than peoplein general. Note: General terms, and not aimed at any specific hunting groups.Hang out a bit in the 'deer hunting' forum - there are a whole lot more pathetic guys over there that I am pretty sure do not do archery. Want some real laughs? Lookin the politics forum.
That being said, mostidentities are great on this site and thats why I stick around. Also - bad apples exist in every barrel, it just varies by the barrel[:-].

Awww.... so cute, I'm far from ignorant, I just don't see your point of view, so it comes down to personal attacks.....
But that's cool, I understand everyones got something to prove.
But next time, if your gonna post something of supposed substance, make a point.

It's sad but so true. Many Bowhunters feel they are the cream of the crop of all hunters. They feel the are above any other method of hunting becauseusing a guntakes away the challenge of the hunt.....hell, someone already said in this theread........."it's not fair chase to shoot a deer at XXX yars with a rifle"....and we are on a HUNTING site!!!![:@][:'(].
How people get to this point is beyond me. I guess it just takes arrogant a$$holes to begin with. Probably arrogant in every other aspect of life too.......
Bowhunting was a way for me to enjoy hunting earlier and longer. It opened my eyes to the thrill of getting closer to game and the thrill in killing something that close. I love that part of it and always will, but it does not mean I do not enjoy sitting behind an old oak watching a flat knowing if I see it I can kill it!
